Here is a bit of nostalgia ! Emma Field Flying Club was founded back in November 2002, that's already 4 years ago ! Below is a message on the Emma Forum showing the founding members and the initial plans....... enjoy !

From the first moment Nicolas Garcia-Huidobro asked if we could start a virtual Flying Club a lot of people have expressed their interest in such a venture and we have been (and still are) working behind the scenes to give the idea shape.

One of the first things we have done is throw together a few ideas on how this should work, and get some people on board that would commit to doing some of the work required to make this a succes.

On top of those volunteers we have LAGO providing support wherever they can, also coming up with some interesting ideas for membership rewards.
We have Richard Goldstein, the designer of Emma Field, helping us with some improvements to the field and expanding the area for further enjoyment (and realism! ).
And we have The simFlight Network supporting the club with webspace, forum and PR.

And last but not least we have YOU, the members, to make this a success.

The intention of the club is to have a place in virtual reality where pilots can go to fly circuits, go fishing, enjoy nature, enjoy each other's stories, or make (day) trips in the area. This is NOT a Virtual Airline, it is a CLUB! There is a big difference, but the main thing being: relaxed enjoyment !
